Provide guests with innovative and authentic menu creation, presentation, and service for all culinary aspects of the property including The Restaurant, The Grill, The Pool & Beach Bar, The Bar & Courtyard and In Room Dining.
Job Purpose
Responsible for the preparation of all menu items in The Restaurant, The Grill, The Bar & Courtyard, The Pool & Beach Bar and In Room Dining, ensuring a quality product is delivered.
Skills / Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum five years cooking experience in a luxury fine dining environment.
- Proven experience in all sections of the kitchen.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Provide all knives required for daily work.
Job Responsibilities - Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in the correct uniform.
- Set mis en place for dishes in all stations of kitchens.
- Ability to read recipes, check food presentations and displays with precision.
- Check the quality of the product to ensure the standards for food service are maintained.
- Show precision cuts and knife use.
- Demonstrate ability to cook meat, fish and vegetables with the correct method and temperature.
- Ensure the correct rotation and storage of products for quality selection.
- Sustain and maintain a clean sanitary station.
- Follow directions from the Sous Chef with accuracy.
- Communicate any defects in kitchen equipment to the Sous Chef.
- In addition, other duties may be required as directed by your Manager.
