To provide world-class service in the unique ambience of The Setai Bar & Courtyard setting. Serving an array of cocktails, whiskies, single malts, rums and beers alongside world music.

Job Purpose

Responsible for taking orders and serving guests. Ensure the overall cleanliness of tables and side stations. Responsible for taking inventory for special equipment, chinaware, glassware and flatware. Follow food and beverage standards and ensure guest satisfaction.

Skills / Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of three years experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to withstand high temperatures.
  • Able to carry more than 30 lbs.
  • Able to handle a fast paced environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in the correct uniform.
  • Serve guests, taking and delivering food and beverage orders.
  • Up-sell menu items and ensure that all items served are accurate.
  • Able to describe menu items in detail when necessary.
  • Ensure the table is completely set before each course is served.
  • Take inventory for special equipment, chinaware, glassware and flatware.
  • Ensure the storage area is clean and neat.
  • Set up and clear tables.
  • Check side station to ensure that it is prepared for each shift.
  • Making sure that the water and temperature level for humidors for cigars are monitored and adjusted accordingly.
  • Verify the check before presenting to the guest.
  • Liaise with hosts regarding food and beverage requirements for advanced reservations for large parties and VIP's.
  • Behave in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Attend all daily briefings, meetings, and training.
  • In addition, other duties maybe required as directed by your manager.
