Department Mission Statement
The main responsibility of the Sales Department is to assist and perform all sales activities (i.e. promoting, selling and developing new and existing accounts with a view of accomplishing department objectives, company mission and goals).
Job Purpose
The Revenue Manager is responsible for effective yield management to maximize revenue, occupancy, and average rate through control and analysis of room inventory, effective rates and strategies as means of increasing hotel revenue.

Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of Revenue Management experience in a luxury hotel environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Proven sales skills.
- Knowledge of the competitive market.
Job Responsibilities- Manage all rates and availability to include the loading within all distribution channels and all aspects of the GDS, as well as sequencing and loading rates.
- Portray all aspects of a system champion for Property Management (Micros Fidelio Opera), Trust, other distribution systems, Website and Daily Revenue Reports.
- Conduct regular audits of GDS, GRC, PM, and Trust ensuring accuracy of rates, packages, information, descriptions and availability.
- Develop short and long-term plans with the DOSM, regarding selling strategies and rate parameters.
- Monitor and report on competitive set, marketing strategies/initiatives.
- Manage and maintain group and transient inventory controls.
- Understand current industry/airline competitive trends. Analyze such data and create detailed reports as means of maximizing room revenue to reach the established Budget.
- Evaluate, solicit, sell, and confirm business to reach revenue goals and objectives.
- Assist the Reservations Manager in the management of the Reservations Department.
- Assist the DOSM with the Pricing Model and the Revenue Management Marketing sections.
- Participate in the design of packages with the DOSM and the General Manager to maximize revenue during off peak demand periods.
- Assure rate parity in all distribution systems and such systems are up to date.
- Facilitate and lead weekly revenue management meetings.
- Analyze pace, lead time, lost business, to support short and long-term booking, rate strategies, forecasts and budgets.
- Consult with Director of Sales and General Manager on rate/inventory suitability of potential group business.
- Analyze and prepare end of month reports.
- Manage internet marketing of hotel website, paid listing services, and e-mail marketing with the DOSM.
- Produce forecasts and budgets for all rooms (To include annual budget and forecast).
- Manage GDS Advertising with support from the DOSM.
- Negotiate with clients as means of balancing revenue maximization with customer satisfaction.
- Design corporate policies and procedures, and manage corporate sales operations, as well as develop strategies to reach corporate objectives.
- Represent the hotel in sales meetings, domestic and international Trade Shows and showcases, as well as industry related events.
