Department Mission Statement
All Front Office employees are responsible for ensuring that the standards expected of the hotel are attained. The impression created must be one of quick and efficient service by friendly, courteous, informative, and helpful agents. Front Office employees are influential in shaping the external perception of the hotel through the contact with all visitors to the hotel.
Job Purpose
Responsible for ensuring all guests are promptly checked-in and out of the hotel, and all guest requests and queries are handled politely and efficiently in accordance with hotel standards.
Skills / Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum one years experience in a luxury hotel environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Must be able to stand for long durations.
Job Responsibilities- Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in the correct uniform.
- Greet all guests with a warm welcome and use guest name in accordance with hotel standards.
- Be thoroughly knowledgeable of all systems and procedures used at the front desk.
- Handle check-in and check-outs in accordance with hotel standards.
- Be fully aware of all VIP's and other specially noted guest for arrivals and currently in-house.
- Participate and be involved in all front desk activities in the day to day operation.
- Act as sales person to maximize room revenue and promote outlets and other hotel facilities and services.
- Liaise closely with housekeeping and all other departments.
- Inform housekeeping and switchboard of any room moves and In Room Dining.
- Check housekeeping reports for discrepancies during morning and afternoon shift.
- Ensure all in-house guests billing is accurate.
- Communicate through radio and ear piece.
- Familiarity with local directions and attractions.
- Supervision of the sanitation and organization of the Lobby areas.
- In addition, other duties may be required as directed by your Manager.
