Department Mission Statement

The Housekeeping Department is responsible for the cleanliness of the hotel, from guest rooms to bath-rooms, lobby, library and towers. The housekeeper never rests always expertly polishing, vacuuming, folding, bed making...and always with a smile and friendly hello to our guests.

Job Purpose

To provide evening turndown service, refresh guest rooms, and clean rooms as required. Provide additional housekeeping services as requested by guests.

Skills / Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum one year experience in housekeeping in a hotel or other relevant experience.
  • Able to speak and understand Basic English.
  • Able to bend, stretch and stand through out shift.
  • Able to lift up to 25lb.
  • Able to read and understand instructions, including safety rules.

Job Responsibilities
  • Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in a clean uniform.
  • Pick up room assignments at the commencement of each shift.
  • Attend a daily housekeeping employees briefing.
  • Communicate with a supervisor to find out service time, check-out time, and special guest requests.
  • Ensure all housekeeping terminology including abbreviations is understood.
  • Keep housekeeping pantry clean and organized.
  • Clean and turndown rooms in accordance with the hotel policy.
  • Attend all scheduled training both on and off the job to ensure hotel standards are maintained.
  • Ensure that lost and found articles are reported to the office immediately and in accordance with hotel policy.
  • Ensure the procedures concerning the entering, occupying and exiting of guest rooms is adhered to at all times.
  • Ensure the safe keeping of hotel property, including guest room keys and pagers.
  • Place turn down amenities in guest rooms in accordance with hotel procedures.
  • In addition, other duties may be required as directed by your Manager.
